چکیده

Background: Repair of direct composites are less invasive than replacement, diminishing the risk iatrogenic exposure pulp and detrimental to adjacent teeth, all in all, reducing procession “restoration death spiral”. Aim: This study aimed evaluate repair bond strength aged resin using different surface treatments bonding protocols. Materials Methods: A total 45 discs (n=45) were fabricated Nanohybrid composite measuring about 2.5 mm height 3.5 diameter mounted acrylic subjected 10,000 thermal cycles between 5-55 ? C with 30 seconds dwell time a thermocycler order simulate artificial ageing. All these samples assigned into three groups (n=15) based on treatment protocol. According protocol, each group further divided subgroups (n=5). After composites, application agent followed by new material was performed. stored distilled water at 37 for 24 hours. The shear measured universal testing machine crosshead speed 1mm/min. Results: Among groups, mean medium grain diamond bur 37% phosphoric acid etchant subgroup higher 852.56±27.71 remaining groups. lowest 200.9±10.62 observed in 37% Etchant subgroup. Conclusion: Different combinations protocols affect differently. highest values achieved where done combination blue along agent.

Repair Bond Strength of Aged Resin Composite after Different Surface and Bonding Treatments

The aim of this study was to compare the effect of different mechanical surface treatments and chemical bonding protocols on the tensile bond strength (TBS) of aged composite. Bar specimens were produced using a nanohybrid resin composite and aged in distilled water for 30 days. Different surface treatments (diamond bur, phosphoric acid, silane, and sandblasting with Al₂O₃ or CoJet Sand), as we...

Influence of different surface treatments on bond strength of resin composite using the intrinsic characterization technique.

OBJECTIVE This study evaluated the influence of different surface treatments on the resin bond strength/light-cured characterizing materials (LCCMs), using the intrinsic characterization technique. The intrinsic technique is characterized by the use of LCCMs between the increments of resin composite (resin/thin film of LCCM/external layer of resin covering the LCCM). MATERIALS AND METHODS Usi...

Comparison of shear bond strength of orthodontics brackets on composite resin restorations with different surface treatments.

INTRODUCTION Orthodontic patients frequently present composite resin restorations, however there are few studies that evaluate the best way for orthodontic bonding in this situation. OBJECTIVE The objective of this work was to evaluate the bond strength of orthodontic brackets in resin restorations with surface treatment. METHODS Fifty one bovine lower incisors were randomly divided into th...
